Welcome to the website of Michigan State University’s alumni club for The Villages,Florida area. Founded in 2007 and chartered in February of 2008, THE VILLAGES AREA MSU ALUMNI CLUB, today numbers over 200 members and is still growing. The club is for alumni and fans. While dedicated to promoting and supporting the mission of Michigan State University and MSUAA, the Club actively provides many opportunities for fellow Spartan fans to enjoy social, athletic, cultural and charitable events together.
The Board is soliciting interest in club members serving on our Education Committee, which meets only one time per year.
The responsibility of the Education Committee is to review, assess and recommend recipients for our annual grants which are provided to middle schools located in our tri-county area. We rotate the counties, and this year we will be soliciting grant applications from ...
Our Annual Activities Calendar provides for monthly social activities, football and basketball game watches, tailgate parties, social and dance nights on The Villages’ Squares, group attendance at area entertainment events, golf outings including our Annual MSU vs. Penn State golf challenge and support of worthy local organizations. In addition, we have had the honor of hosting several MSU leaders and dignitaries including President Lou Anna K. Simon. Dr. Gordon Guyer, MSU President emeritus, visited our club on February 19th at Memories Night.
We are extremely proud of the establishment of our MSUAA recognized Educational Grants Fund. Scholarship money is raised through Club activities. The Club was pleased to have awarded our first Scholarship in 2009. In 2012, 6 grants totaling almost $2,900 went to 3 local Marion County middle schools. 2013 grants to Sumter County school teachers totaled almost $3000. 2014 grants to Sumter County teachers exceeded $2500.
Please explore this web site, and we hope you will join with your fellow Spartans and become an active member of THE VILLAGES AREA MSU ALUMNI CLUB.

This note is to thank those of you who donated to the Princess Lacey Fund in May and June. Below you will find the note that was enclosed with our check indicating our feelings about what the Holsworth family meant to the Spartan Nation.
